Anna Hart

Anna Hart is a Belfast-born writer and broadcaster, specialising in positive-impact travel, ethical lifestyle and sustainable design.

Anna Hart’s successful travel memoir, Departures, about the power of solo travel, was published by Little, Brown Book Group in 2018. She is represented by Becky Thomas of Lewinsohn Literary, and is currently working on her second non-fiction book, about freedom of movement.

Her first documentary, Taking The Waters, premiered at Sheffield Documentary Festival in 2018 and was selected for Galway Film Festival, Belfast Film Festival, Aesthetica and Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. Taking The Waters is a 20-minute short about the sea and community, which she co-directed alongside director Kathryn Ferguson (Nothing Compares, 2022).

Formerly Commissioning Editor at Grazia magazine & Features Editor at Stylist magazine, Anna wrote regularly for Conde Nast Traveller, The Face, The Guardian, GQ, Sunday Times Travel, Suitcase, The Daily Telegraph, The Wall Street Journal and Vogue. For two years, her weekly Daily Telegraph column, Slow Motion, focused on navigating modern life and conscious travel. She is currently a travel columnist for Gourmet Traveller Australia, and Suitcase magazine.
