About Anna

After gaining a first class MA and mPhil in English Literature and Politics at the University of Glasgow, Anna secured a graduate traineeship placing her as a Staff Writer at FHM magazine in London. She was soon reporting on global events such as Hurricane Katrina and interviewing talent such as Stevie Wonder, Mike Patton and Angelina Jolie. She held Features Editor roles at Grazia magazine and then Stylist magazine, specialising in popular culture and festivals, social trends, sustainability, urban culture and zeitgeisty lifestyle stories.

As Stylist magazine’s Travel Editor, Anna grew a loyal social media following as she travelled the globe, reviewing the coolest hotels, seeking out fabulous vintage stores and indie design galleries, & highlighting the most transformative travel and lifestyle experiences & brands on the planet.

From 2020-2022 she was the Daily Telegraph’s star weekly travel columnist, her Slow Motion column specialising in progressive and mindful travel. She is now Gourmet Traveller Australia’s monthly travel columnist, a position formerly held by AA Gill.

Anna Hart’s warm, friendly, humour-filled Northern Irish regional accent is immediately recognisable, and she has been featured on countless podcasts, including Emma Gannon’s Ctrl Alt Delete. Anna is a regular contributor on both talkRADIO and BBC, and has delivered talks and workshops at international ideas festivals including SXSW, Women of the World Southbank London and Glastonbury Festival.

She is available for print, broadcast and video commissions and projects as well as workshops and coaching.
